”I lost 28kg in 6 months and I no longer suffer with back and knee pain”
Start weight: 133.8kg – Body fat 33.2%
Finish weight: 105.6kg – Body fat 23.5%
Things at work had got really busy and I’d stopped training due to a lack of spare time. During this time, I had put a lot of weight on and knew I needed to do something about it. One of my mates had achieved great results using a PT and I decided it was time to do the same, so looked for a trainer local to me.
As a retired rugby player, it was great to fall back into set training and the types of training we were doing. As for the nutrition, I do a physical job, and it was clear that I had been eating nowhere near enough calories and my body was just storing fat.
My aim was to get down to 100kg. Over the last 6 months, I’ve lost 28kg and sit 5kg from target. During this time, I’ve also dropped over 10% in body fat.
Things have changed a lot over the last six months. I struggled with back pain and bad knees and this has since cleared up. I have a lot more energy and feel the best I’ve felt in years. I can’t imagine not training now, and want to move the goal post and push on further.

”My flexibility has hugely improved and I have reduced my body fat by 7%”
Start weight: 80.5kg – Body fat 29.47%
Finish weight: 76.6kg – Body fat 22.38%
After a serious football injury, I had to stop playing five-a-side because of the high impact, and was subsequently getting less fit. I felt I needed to improve my fitness and flexibility, along with reducing my body fat levels. I wanted help to start training as I didn’t want to get injured again.
I was introduced to Cliff by a friend who had been training with him for a while, and after hearing me moan about my fitness, he suggested I should have a consultation. My first impressions were excellent, far better than a larger commercial gym. It’s more of a personal touch at Clifford Saul Fitness. The classes are very friendly with the right level of encouragement, and the one-to-one personal training sessions, in my experience, are worth every penny. I genuinely feel that my trainer has my best interests at heart and I value the input. I have made some positive changes to my nutrition; I’m really surprised how much difference the nutrition side can make.
Along with increasing my muscle mass and reducing my body fat, my flexibility has really improved. I was the ultimate ‘Mr Stiff’; I am naturally not very bendy, and could hardly touch my toes. I feel like I have got a long way to go, but I’m determined to keep going, and with the help of Cliff I am confident I will get there.
I would have no hesitation in recommending Cliff to anyone interested in making improvements to their health and fitness. If I can do it, anyone can.

”I was brought personal training sessions as a birthday present and they turned out to be the best present ever, I lost over 8kg”
Start weight: 82.5kg – Body fat 32.87%
Finish weight: 74.5kg – Body fat 21.53%
My sister bought me eight weeks of PT sessions for my 30th birthday to kick me into action. I had got married the month before and struggled to lose weight for this, so needed to take another approach to make a sustainable difference.
Motivation was the biggest thing, but having the camaraderie of the group sessions and a personal trainer makes all the difference, and I haven’t missed one session.
I really found the staff friendly, not pushy or overbearing, but dedicated to helping you achieve your goals all the same.
I have lost 8kg in eight weeks; I’m two buckles down on the belt and can fit into my slim-fit shirts again! The focus on nutrition was something I did not do before; I tried to eat healthily but my diet was not tailored to me. It is now.
