Over the past ten years, we have developed a a personal training service that we promise will produce results or your money back. If you are prepared to work hard and follow our expert advice to the letter, then life changing fat loss results can potentially be yours.
Our personal training is based on a system that is effective and can be tailored to the goals of everyone; from elite athletes, through to busy business people and parents with young children. It is a plan that aims to deliver maximum results in minimum time.
Our Personal Training consists of the following:
We will perform an extensive body composition analysis, whereby we weigh and measure you, and calculate body fat percentage via Harpenden skin fold callipers, which enables us to calculate your lean muscle mass. We will also take several circumference measurements and some starting point photos.
From the results of your body composition test, lifestyle and general activity levels, which we will discuss in your consultation, we will work out how many calories you should be aiming to consume to achieve your goal, along with a detailed breakdown of your specific macronutrient splits. From here, we will create a nutrition plan together, so we can develop a plan which you will want to stick to. Unfortunately, pizza and curries will not be included, but hopefully we can still create an enjoyable, sustainable food plan. Supplement advise will also be advised, however the emphasis is on good quality whole foods.
The functional movement screen consists of the following:
- Overhead Squat
- Hurdle Step
- In-Line Lunge
- Active Straight Leg Raise
- Seated Rotation
- Stability Push Up
- Shoulder Mobility
The results from the above tests will be the platform that your training plan will be built upon, so you will be doing the correct exercises for you and not doing an exercise because “that’s what everyone else does” or that it looked cool on youtube.
On all the basis of the data gathered by our initial consultation, Functional Movement Screen we then construct a unique, personalised programme based on our principles. Remember, this is a plan that is designed to evolve as your own conditioning improves.
We also take into account the information gathered during the physical assessments, and construct a plan that considers any pre-existing or potential structural and muscular imbalances, addressing weaknesses head-on.
You will meet with your personal trainer for the agreed number of sessions, in addition, we will potentially be asking you to put in some smaller workouts at home or at a venue of your choice.
We pay extremely close attention to everything that you do when exercising with us, always monitoring your progress, form, strength and fitness. We are not a glorified rep counter, rather than just instruct, we try to educate you why we are doing something a particular way.
What we expect from you
Unlike most personal trainers who will take on any client, no matter how wavering their commitment, we are very particular about who we take on. To this extent, there are certain conditions that we ask each client agrees to before starting their personal training journey:
- Make the time to train with us a priority
- No alcohol, wheat or processed foods for at least the first 21 days
- Accept that you must follow our 90% & 10% rule
- Give 100% effort throughout the programme
CSF Reference book
All clients will receive a Clifford Saul Reference Book, which will be perfect to refer to, and will cover everything we do in and out the gym, including nutrition, supplementation, training plans, and your personalised mobility drills/stretching routines.
